Guelbenzu Azul 2002

Lots of fresh fruit aromas. A stack of black cherry, plum and damson. Palate has good tannins that create a fine chewy density with dark, savoury fruit.

ABOUT GUELBENZU

The Guelbenzu family has, over the years, gone to painstaking lengths to differentiate the nature of each of the various styles.

Those who spearhead the winery are Ricardo Guelbenzu and oenologist Yoseba Altana, who has worked with Guelbenzu since the beginning of the current phase.

"Guelbenzu, one of the leading lights in the Navarra wine scene, have given up labelling their wines as Navarra out of disgust at what they see as the stifling effects of bureaucratic meddling. And freed from the shackles they’re making their best wine ever." Oz Clarke, Wine Buying Guide 2004
