Paddling against the tide, the Pieropan family have been a flag bearer for Soave wines for several decades, a small crumb of quality in an ocean of often less than adequate wines. Now run by forth generation brothers Andrea and Dario under their hawkeyed parents, Nino and Teresita Pieropan, the wines continue to impress.

In 1999 Pieropan family bought a property in Cellore d’Illasi, in the Valpolicella and Amarone production area and planted it with vines. The property, situated in Monte Garzon lies at 500 m above sea level.
