Meaning 'little black bunches', is a well-structured blend (Tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon) of lean but agreeably perfumed, punchy cherry fruit with assertive vanilla oak and overtones of cocoa.
ABOUT CASTELL DEL REMEI
Founded as far back as 1870, but subsequently decimated first by phylloxera and later by the Civil War, this historic winery only came into its own during the 1950s – only to lapse into neglect after the death of the owner.
In the 1980s, huge sums were invested by the Cusine family, to remodel and replant the winery so that barrel matured wines could once more be produced using the careful and time-honoured traditional process.
